Aida A. Ramirez is a bilingual entrepreneur, educator, and financial services professional whose work is centered on empowering individuals, families, and small business owners through education, advocacy, and practical financial guidance. With 17 years of experience in the financial services industry and two years running her own business, Aida has built a reputation for helping clients better understand their finances, prepare for the future, and create long-term stability. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she is especially passionate about serving immigrant and underserved communities, using her personal experiences to connect with and support others on their path toward financial independence and self-sufficiency.
Through her business, Aida works directly with individuals and entrepreneurs on tax preparation, retirement planning, life insurance, credit repair, debt consolidation, and financial education. Her approach focuses on teaching clients how to make their money work for them rather than simply working for money. From helping families respond to IRS notices and amend tax returns to guiding business owners through financial planning and protection strategies, she combines technical expertise with empathy and encouragement. Aida believes strongly in empowerment through knowledge and approaches every interaction with humility, respect, and a genuine desire to help people recognize their potential and build stronger futures for themselves and their families.
Beyond her business, Aida is deeply involved in community leadership, mentorship, and educational outreach throughout Central Texas. She serves as a community ambassador for Equidad ATX, a mentor with Seedling, a PTA president, and a board member for the Del Valle Food Co-Op. She is also the founder of Bra Bank of Central Texas and serves as vice president of education for a local chapter of Toastmasters International. Aida earned her bachelor’s degree in management from Southern New Hampshire University in 2023 after overcoming the challenges of growing up in a migrant farmworker family with limited resources. Her journey reflects resilience, lifelong learning, and a commitment to creating meaningful impact in both the financial and community spaces.

Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to perseverance, grit, hard work, and ethical behavior. Coming from a background as a migrant farm worker with very few resources and limited education, I had to work incredibly hard to get where I am today. Society has very few expectations, if any, of people from low-income, immigrant families like mine, but I never let that stop me. I kept pushing forward, completed my bachelor's degree in 2023, and built my own business doing what I love and what I'm good at. It took perseverance and grit to overcome those barriers and achieve success.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I ever received was to never stop learning and to never stop growing. This advice has been fundamental to my journey, especially as someone who came from a background with limited educational resources. I took this to heart and went back to school to earn multiple degrees, including two associate's degrees and a bachelor's degree in management. I continue to invest in my professional development through organizations like Toastmasters International, where I serve as vice president of education, because I believe that continuous learning and growth are essential to success in any field.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

One of the biggest things I would tell young women entering the financial services industry is that a lot of times we don't see the things that we do as strengths. When we are caretakers or stay-at-home moms, we are really managers. We're managing a home, we're managing calendars, we're managing time, we're managing food, and making sure everybody's taken care of when it comes to medical, dental, and everything else. We do so much but just don't give ourselves enough credit for everything that we do. I would tell women, young women, any women, to really take a step back and look at your everyday tasks that you do and compare them to the professional world. You'll see that you already have so many of the skills and strengths needed to succeed in this field.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenges in the financial services industry right now, especially for women and Latinas, is that it's been a male-dominated world. Coming in as a Latina woman in finances, sometimes it's difficult to get men to take us seriously, and even women sometimes don't take us seriously because they're so used to hearing about finances from men. I think it's getting a little bit easier and less challenging, but there are still barriers. On the opportunity side, I think the opportunities are there because a lot of times, as women, we do manage the money in the homes. As women, we can make the decision to be frugal with money and support a family with very little income sometimes. The opportunity for me as a bilingual person is being able to reach more people than just speaking one language. And the opportunity of having more women in this field and being able to share experiences and grow together is really exciting.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me in my work and personal life are seeing people not for what they are, but for what they can be and what they can grow to be or work to be. I believe that anybody, no matter what their situation is, has the opportunity to reach any goals that they may have. Respect and humility are also core values for me, treating everybody as a human being. I also value perseverance, grit, hard work, and ethical behavior. These values have guided me throughout my journey from being a migrant farm worker to becoming a business owner, and they continue to shape how I work with my clients and serve my community.
