Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to staying committed to growth: spiritually, personally, and professionally. I’ve learned that the moment a leader stops being curious is the moment they stop leading. So I keep myself teachable, always willing to stretch beyond what I already know, and unafraid to step into rooms that challenge me.

At the same time, I stay anchored in humility. Growth isn’t about proving myself; it’s about improving myself so I can serve others at a higher level. That combination of curiosity, discipline, and a heart to serve, is what continues to open doors and propel me forward.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I ever received was this: “Lead yourself well first; everything else flows from that.”

It completely shifted the way I approached my work and my leadership. Instead of chasing titles, outcomes, or other people’s expectations, I learned to focus on who I was becoming. When I stayed aligned: mind, body, and spirit, my decisions got clearer, my confidence grew, and my influence strengthened.

That advice taught me that success doesn't happen by chance. It’s the result of discipline, self-awareness, and the courage to grow. When you take responsibility for leading yourself well, you elevate everyone you lead.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is simple: take action before you feel everything is perfect. Too many talented women wait for every detail to line up before they move. But growth doesn’t come from hesitation, it comes from momentum.

I live by the principle “ready, shoot, aim.” Set your target, take your shot, and then fine-tune your aim as you learn, evaluate, and grow. Course correction happens after you’re in motion, not before.

Perfection is a stall tactic. Progress is built through action, adjustment, and the confidence that comes from doing the work. Take the step, even if it’s imperfect, and let the momentum pull you forward. You will grow as you go.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is helping leaders adapt to an AI-driven workplace without feeling overwhelmed or left behind. Many are unsure where to start, fear losing the “human” side of leadership, or feel pressure to keep up with rapid change. This hesitation slows innovation and contributes to burnout, confusion, and disengagement.

But this challenge is also our greatest opportunity. Leaders who build AI literacy, stay teachable, and embrace new tools will gain a competitive edge. When we combine emotional intelligence, values-driven leadership, and smart use of technology, we create healthier teams, clearer decision-making, and greater impact. The future belongs to leaders who courageously blend wisdom with innovation.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that anchor both my work and my personal life are integrity, faith, and service. I believe real leadership starts with character; doing what’s right even when no one is watching, staying grounded in truth, and letting my actions reflect my convictions. My faith guides every decision I make, reminding me to lead with humility, compassion, and purpose. I want the way I show up, whether at home, at work, or in ministry, to reflect who I am at my core, not just the role I hold.

I’m equally committed to growth, excellence, and honoring the people entrusted to me. I value continual learning, open communication, and creating environments where others feel seen, supported, and empowered. Whether I’m coaching a leader, speaking on a stage, or raising my family, I strive to serve people well, steward opportunities wisely, and pursue excellence without sacrificing my wellbeing or my values. These principles shape everything I do.
