About Aisha

Aisha Browder is a dedicated workforce development professional, community advocate, and supportive housing safety leader based in Boston, Massachusetts. She currently serves as Senior Security Specialist at Commonwealth Land Trust, where she leads safety operations across 12 supportive housing properties. In this role, Browder works to ensure that residents have secure and welcoming environments where they can focus on rebuilding their lives. Her responsibilities extend beyond traditional security, emphasizing compassionate crisis response, conflict de-escalation, collaboration with clinical and supportive-service teams, and treating every resident with dignity and respect. Her experience working directly with vulnerable populations has shaped an approach to safety that recognizes the importance of empathy, communication, and understanding.

Alongside her role with Commonwealth Land Trust, Browder has developed a strong career in workforce development and community-based services. She has served as a Workforce Development Specialist at Rosie's Place since 2018, bringing years of experience helping individuals overcome barriers to employment and achieve greater personal and economic stability. Through her workforce development and consulting work, she organizes resource fairs and connects individuals with employment, education, and community resources. She also visits transitional and reentry housing programs, including New Beginnings, where she provides instruction and support in interpersonal skills, job readiness, life skills, and whole-person recovery. Her commitment to the reentry community includes helping justice-impacted individuals identify practical pathways toward employment and self-sufficiency. She is also working to broker a financial literacy program with Mothers for Justice designed specifically to help justice-impacted women strengthen their understanding of financial management and build greater economic independence.

Browder's diverse professional background also includes serving as a Mobile Counselor with Pine Street Inn, a Job Specialist with Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries, and a Mental Health Worker with the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health. These experiences have given her a broad understanding of workforce development, supportive services, behavioral health, housing instability, and the challenges individuals may face when working toward a more stable future. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Television Production from Salem State University and completed the Addictions Counselor Education Program at UMass Boston, earning a certification in Substance Abuse/Addiction Counseling. Across her various roles, Browder has remained committed to empowering people through practical resources, education, encouragement, and compassionate support. She attributes her success to staying grounded through her relationship with God, along with her determination and resilience, which have helped her navigate challenges, remain focused on her purpose, and continue creating meaningful opportunities for others.
