About Aisha

Aisha M. is a dynamic and results-driven leader with over 25 years of experience spanning revenue management, sales strategy, marketing campaigns, project and change management, and business analysis within the cruise and hospitality industry. She has led high-performing teams, designed and implemented global promotional campaigns, and developed innovative business solutions that optimize revenue streams and enhance customer engagement. A former CPA and Deloitte alum, Aisha leverages her deep analytical and financial expertise to drive strategic decision-making, operational excellence, and measurable business growth across complex, multi-national operations. Her approach combines data-driven insights with creativity and collaboration, enabling teams to exceed performance goals while fostering professional development.

In addition to her corporate achievements, Aisha is deeply committed to community impact as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Girl Power Rocks, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving adolescent girls in underserved areas of Miami‑Dade County. She has served on the board for 10 years, including over a year as chair and two years as vice chair, leading governance, fundraising, and program initiatives. Under her guidance, the organization provides after-school enrichment, mentorship, and a Girls Intervention Program that equips first-time and misdemeanor-involved youth with essential life skills. Aisha emphasizes integrity and communication as core values and attributes her success to thorough research, continuous learning, networking, and the guidance of mentors such as Kim Griffin-Hunter, Keith Lane, Thema Campbell, and Gale Nelson.

Beyond her professional and nonprofit work, Aisha is passionate about mentorship and youth development, having designed a worksite curriculum for Big Brothers Big Sisters at Royal Caribbean Group that was later adopted regionally. She also enjoys live music, cultural events, art galleries, and spending quality time with her family. Her career and personal pursuits reflect a rare balance of corporate achievement, community leadership, and a commitment to fostering growth, opportunity, and meaningful experiences both in business and in life.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Aisha

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a combination of thorough research, a willingness to continuously learn, and the power of building meaningful networks. I make it a priority to fully understand the situations and challenges I encounter, staying informed and prepared to make thoughtful decisions. At the same time, I remain open to new ideas and perspectives, knowing that growth comes from lifelong learning. Cultivating strong professional relationships through networking has also been essential, allowing me to collaborate, gain insights, and create opportunities that have propelled my career forward.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to treat everyone with kindness and respect. Approaching every interaction with empathy and consideration not only builds strong professional relationships but also creates a positive and collaborative work environment. I’ve found that this mindset fosters trust, encourages open communication, and often opens doors to opportunities that might not have been possible otherwise.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Aisha stresses mentorship and service, urging young professionals to treat everyone with kindness and respect because you never know who they will become.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is decreased funding, which impacts the ability to deliver programs, expand services, and invest in innovation. At the same time, this challenge presents opportunities to think creatively, optimize resources, and develop strategic partnerships that maximize impact. Navigating these financial constraints requires adaptability, careful planning, and a focus on sustainable solutions that continue to meet the needs of the communities and organizations we serve.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity and clear communication are the cornerstones of both my professional and personal life. I believe that being honest, transparent, and accountable in every interaction builds trust and fosters meaningful relationships. I prioritize open dialogue, active listening, and thoughtful expression to ensure that collaboration is effective and that expectations are clear. Upholding these values consistently allows me to navigate challenges with confidence, make principled decisions, and create an environment where others feel respected, supported, and empowered.
