About Aisha
I own and operate Robinson Insurance Agency, where I serve as a one-stop shop for clients who need comprehensive insurance coverage. Over my 25 years in the insurance industry, I've built a diverse background that includes underwriting, helping people retain their policies after they've been attained, management, and building teams. This isn't my first time as an agency owner - I've actually done it a couple of times with a few different ideas. Throughout my career, I've worn so many different hats, from insurance-specific roles to marketing and accounting. All of this experience has come together in my current role. I handle both personal lines and commercial lines, and I haven't really run into anything I haven't been able to handle as of yet. My philosophy is that insurance is about protection, not just saving money. I educate my clients on why adequate coverage matters - for example, when someone wants state minimum liability coverage of $15,000 per person and $30,000 per accident, I explain that most cars cost way more than $30,000, so if their insurance doesn't pay out enough, they could be stuck with thousands of dollars left to pay. That extra $15 or $20 a month might actually save them $20,000 or $30,000 later. In the next 5 years, I plan to be exactly where I'm at right now, running my agency and providing that protection and service to the public, just with a lot more clients.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would say, coming into this position, learn as much as you can. Insurance is not an easy industry to be in. It does require a lot of information and education and experience, too, so someone that's coming in the door, new to the industry, learn as much as you can. Take those opportunities to gain as much experience as possible.
