Her Story
About Aishwarya
I currently work as a Business Analyst at Mirra Healthcare, where I've been for nearly a year since starting on June 9th of last year. In my role, I specialize in claims adjudication and serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. My main responsibilities include gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, and working closely with stakeholders on reporting and documentation related to healthcare. I've also worked extensively with payer-provider workflows and user acceptance testing. One of my greatest strengths is my ability to collaborate effectively with both clients and internal teams, which has been crucial to my success in this field. My journey to this position began with a Bachelor's in Computer Application in India, where I learned SQL and gained technological knowledge that became my foundation. This sparked my interest in implementing technology in wider business terms, leading me to pursue a Master's in Business Administration. I then discovered the powerful blend of business and technology, which inspired me to pursue a Master's in Business Analytics at UT Dallas. This combination allowed me to deep dive into both technology and business analytics, positioning me perfectly for my current role where I can leverage both skill sets daily.

Ten minutes with Aishwarya
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success definitely to my dad, because he's the one who got me here. He's been the driving force behind my journey and the person who made it possible for me to pursue my dreams and career in the United States. His support and belief in me have been fundamental to everything I've achieved.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I ever received came from my friend and mentor, who has been my go-to advice person till today. He told me that growth isn't stopping or stagnant, and that I should pursue what I like. He emphasized the importance of being a lifelong learner and not being afraid to ask questions. This advice came at a crucial time when I was pushed to make the decision of doing my master's, and it really shaped my approach to my career. His guidance has been instrumental in where I am today, and I still rely on his mentorship and advice.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
The one career advice I would give is that it's a continuous learning journey in this field. Healthcare and technology industries are constantly evolving, so you have to stay current with the objectives, CMS rules, and regulatory perspectives. It's a field that requires great curiosity, and you keep learning constantly. Most importantly, you shouldn't be afraid to take on new challenges. Embrace the learning opportunities and stay adaptable, because that's what will help you succeed in this dynamic industry.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Right now in the healthcare industry, the biggest challenge I'm facing is having multiple priorities where everything demands a high-quality outcome, whether it's for clients or my internal team. In healthcare, timelines can be tight and things change quickly, which makes it particularly demanding. There's also a strong need for accuracy and compliance, and making sure all of that is maintained is crucial. Managing all these competing demands while ensuring quality and compliance has been my biggest challenge as of now. That said, I feel like I'm handling it quite well.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The most important values to me are being honest, which I believe is the most fundamental one. I also value integrity, accountability, and continuous learning, which plays an important role in all aspects of life, whether personal or professional. These values are a helping factor that can build meaningful relationships among everyone. I believe that maintaining these core values across both my work and personal life is essential to success and building strong connections with others.
