							Alaina Thomas, MA, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified DBT therapist based in Columbus, Ohio. She provides compassionate, evidence-based care to adolescents and adults through a private practice, Premiere Counseling Services. Drawing from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and existential approaches, Alaina helps clients navigate challenges such as trauma, depression, and anxiety. Her counseling philosophy centers on creating a safe, collaborative space where individuals feel seen, heard, and supported as they work toward healing and self-understanding.
Before becoming a counselor, Alaina earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations and her Master of Arts in Clinical Counseling from The Ohio State University. Her professional journey includes work in employee experience, education, and nonprofit communications—experiences that shaped her holistic approach to mental health and human connection. She also contributes to the broader counseling community through her involvement with the Ohio Counseling Association’s Insurance Advocacy Committee, advocating for equitable reimbursement and systemic change in behavioral healthcare.
Beyond her clinical work, Alaina is deeply committed to community, personal growth, and balance. She enjoys reading thrillers and true crime, hosting book club gatherings with friends, cooking, traveling, and attending live music events.
