What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a strong work ethic and the values my parents instilled in me, particularly the importance of finishing what I start. I am proactive by nature, willing to step in, take initiative, and fill gaps without being asked. I have deep respect for teamwork and believe every role is essential to achieving shared goals. Additionally, my athletic background has reinforced discipline, resilience, and accountability, qualities I carry into every aspect of my professional life.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to finish what I start, even when motivation fades. I’ve also learned that growth often comes from taking on responsibility before you feel fully “ready,” as those challenges push you to develop skills and confidence faster than comfort ever could.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is to take initiative and step up to lead rather than waiting to be asked. Learn every part of the operation, as it builds credibility and a deeper understanding of the business. Treat everyone with respect, regardless of title, and view setbacks as opportunities to learn and grow rather than as discouragements.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in healthcare right now is addressing staffing shortages and burnout, while also balancing productivity with the delivery of high-quality patient care. At the same time, there are significant opportunities for those willing to step into leadership roles. Growing healthcare systems are creating pathways for advancement, and there is tremendous potential to improve patient outcomes through enhanced operational efficiency.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life include respect and fairness across all levels of an organization, accountability and follow-through, and a strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork. I believe in viewing failure as an opportunity to learn and improve, and I prioritize service to others, both professionally and within the community.
