Her Story

About Alanna

Alanna White is a Residential Sales Executive with Clearwave Fiber in Valdosta, Georgia. Since joining the company in March, she has consistently ranked among the top performers in her channel, averaging 168% above quota. While she’s proud of her professional success, what motivates her most is building genuine relationships and making a meaningful impact in the communities she serves.

A 2024 graduate of the University of Georgia with a degree in Biological Science, Alanna began her career in healthcare, where she developed a deep appreciation for empathy, active listening, and earning people’s trust. Those values continue to guide her approach to both business and life.

During her undergraduate years, Alanna volunteered with STEM programs for elementary students, helping inspire the next generation through hands-on learning and mentorship. Today, she continues to invest in her community by organizing back-to-school events for local families and supporting fundraisers.

Alanna believes leadership is rooted in service. Whether she’s connecting with a customer, partnering with local organizations, or volunteering her time, her goal is always the same: to leave people and her community better than she found them. For Alanna, success isn’t defined solely by achievements—it’s measured by the relationships she builds, the trust she earns, and the positive impact she leaves behind.

Ten minutes with Alanna

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my work ethic, my willingness to learn, and the relationships I’ve built along the way. I’ve always believed that people can tell when you genuinely care, and I try to lead every conversation with that mindset. Whether I’m working with a customer, a property partner, or someone in my community, I want people to know they’re more than just a number.

I also believe a big part of success comes from being willing to step outside of your comfort zone. Starting in a new industry and a new role pushed me to grow quickly, but I embraced the challenge and trusted that the skills I developed in healthcare—listening, patience, and building trust—would translate.

Most importantly, I stay consistent. Sales can come with a lot of highs and lows, so resilience and showing up every day have been key. I’m always looking for ways to improve, learn from every conversation, and keep moving forward. I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished, but I’m even more excited about continuing to grow and seeing where that growth takes me.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to always stay curious and be willing to learn. No matter how much experience you gain, there is always something new to take away from the people around you and every situation you’re in.

I’ve learned that every experience has something to teach you if you’re willing to listen. Some of the best lessons in my career have come from the people I’ve met, the challenges I’ve faced, and the moments that pushed me outside of my comfort zone.

I believe success comes from staying humble, being adaptable, and continuing to grow. If you’re willing to learn, put in the work, and make the most of every opportunity, you’ll continue to move forward.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice is to have confidence in yourself and remember that you’re just as capable as anyone else in the room. You’re there for a reason, and you wouldn’t have been given the opportunity if someone didn’t believe you could do it. Don’t waste your time doubting yourself or second-guessing what you bring to the table.

Whether you’re a woman in a male-dominated industry or simply stepping into a new opportunity, own your seat. Your perspective, your knowledge, and your experiences are valuable. Lead with confidence, stay resilient, and let your work speak for itself.

You’ll never know what’s possible if you don’t take the chance. You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take, and the worst someone can say is “no” or “not right now.” Keep learning, keep growing, and keep showing up. The right “yes” is often just one more conversation away.
