Her Interview
Ten minutes with Alayna
01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is simply, “Why not?” As a woman in a male-dominated field, I’ve faced imposter syndrome, fear, and self-doubt. Asking myself “Why not?” reminds me not to let insecurity hold me back, but instead to pursue opportunities, take risks, and work hard for the things I truly want.
02What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are balance, curiosity, and staying connected to the things that bring me joy. Growing up in a beach town, swimming and being near the water have always been a meaningful part of my life. I’m also an avid reader, and I value continuous learning and exploring different perspectives through books.
