About Albana
I started my career in sales about seven to eight years ago, and for the last four and a half years, I've been in leadership roles, which I absolutely love. I'm currently an assistant manager at Milan Laser Hair Removal, where I've had the privilege of leading and building an all-female team. I started there as a client specialist, basically a receptionist, and after just a month, they saw the value in me and promoted me to assistant manager. What I love most about my work is empowering the women I work with, teaching them and guiding them through their day. I've also worked in real estate, and all of my jobs have involved customer relationship experience. I'm very good at talking to people and maneuvering situations because I understand that people base things off of emotion. My biggest achievement has been watching my team grow from the bottom all the way up and seeing how much they appreciated me. I love to grow, and I love to help people - those are my top priorities. If I can find something that allows me to do both, I will conquer the world. I'm a very loyal person, and I believe in creating strong work environments where everyone is on the same page and people are seen as individuals, not just numbers.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Always value yourself. Obviously, value the company, like, respect the company and stuff, but you have to value yourself before you can value anyone else. And that's not coming from a selfish way at all. It just means that the more you value yourself, the more you can put out there in the world.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I would say just being a little too aggressive, not reading the room. Or vice versa, maybe being a little nice, and just not acting as a leader, kind of acting like a friend, like buddy-buddy. So those two things, but they kind of contradict themselves because they're both so opposite.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Just having a strong work environment, and of course, like, empowerment. I want to make sure that everyone is on the same page, because I feel like some jobs don't see you as a person, they just see you as a number. And I think that seeing somebody as a person is more important than seeing somebody as a number, because if you look at somebody just as a number, then they just won't get you the numbers that you want, because they're not feeling the right way that they should.
