Her Story

About Alecia

Alecia Lamplugh is a dedicated business student, bookkeeper, and hands-on learner with a passion for helping small businesses scale operations, modernize strategies, and build strong teams. After years in the workforce and raising a family, she returned to school to gain the skills necessary to protect and empower ambitious entrepreneurs, inspired in part by her brother’s experience navigating preventable compliance challenges. Alecia combines her academic knowledge with practical experience, particularly in the evolving cannabis industry, where she has worked directly with cultivation teams to understand operational and regulatory challenges.

Over the past decade, Alecia has developed expertise in customer service, database management, bookkeeping, and office operations, which she leverages to support organizational growth and operational efficiency. As a creative thinker and problem solver, she is especially passionate about bridging gaps in communication, accountability, and structure—areas she has seen hinder even the most promising ventures.

In addition to her professional pursuits, Alecia is a committed leader and advocate through her role as President of the Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP) at Rowan University. In this capacity, she leads campus initiatives, mentors peers, and drives reform in cannabis and psychedelic research policy. Balancing her academic, professional, and leadership responsibilities, Alecia is dedicated to building meaningful impact for her community while shaping a brighter future for her family and the next generation of entrepreneurs.
