About Alecia

Alecia Stepp is a seasoned sales and healthcare professional based in Omaha, Nebraska, with extensive experience in Medicare insurance, pharmaceutical sales, and relationship management. Since 2020, she has focused on the Medicare insurance field, including serving as a Humana Sales Representative-Nebraska, where she was responsible for helping Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries enroll in Medicare Advantage and Prescription Drug Plans. She currently works as a Licensed Sales Agent with Maddux Insurance and Associates, serving clients across Nebraska, South Dakota, and Iowa.

Before transitioning into insurance, Alecia built a successful career in pharmaceutical sales and neuroscience. She spent 17 years with Eli Lilly and Company in the neuroscience field and began her pharmaceutical career as one of the first female pharmaceutical representatives hired by Merck. Earlier in her career, she also held outside sales positions with SDI Marketing and Sunbelt Rentals, as well as a Relationship Manager role with Heartland Payment Systems. Her professional background reflects strong expertise in sales, client relationships, healthcare products, and consultative communication.

Alecia earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism with a major in Advertising from the University of Kansas, where she graduated with honors and was active in Gamma Phi Beta and the KU Dance Squad. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for professional achievement, including earning President's Club honors with Burke and a divisional trip with Eli Lilly. Alecia is also active in her community through organizations such as the Gretna Chamber of Commerce, West Oak Chamber, and Omaha Chamber, and she participates in charitable events including Alzheimer's and breast cancer walks. She is guided by a strong commitment to helping people and doing the right thing, while encouraging others to focus on what they can control and not sweat the small stuff.

I attribute my success to my passion for helping others and my commitment to always doing the right thing.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received is not to sweat the small stuff. I focus on what I can control and avoid wasting time and energy on things beyond my control.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that matter most to me are caring for others, staying active, and finding joy in everyday life. I enjoy walking, reading, and especially cooking, and I value the opportunity to share those moments with my daughter, who also has a passion for helping people through her work in healthcare.
