Her Story

About Aleiyah

I currently work at Relevate Health as an Account Executive, where I support pharmaceutical and life sciences brands through omnichannel marketing, campaign execution, and strategic client partnerships. Over the past several years in the life sciences industry, I’ve worked across consulting, account management, regulatory operations, and drug launch support, helping organizations improve processes, navigate FDA compliance, and deliver impactful healthcare communications more effectively.

Throughout my career, I’ve been especially passionate about creating solutions that not only support business goals, but ultimately improve the patient experience. My background in consulting and healthcare marketing has allowed me to collaborate cross-functionally with clients, agencies, and internal teams to streamline operations, strengthen communication, and bring innovative healthcare initiatives to life.

My passion for healthcare is deeply personal. Growing up, my younger sister faced serious health challenges, and that experience shaped the way I view patient advocacy and access to information. It taught me how important it is for people to feel informed, empowered, and involved in decisions surrounding their health. While my path ultimately led me to the administrative and strategic side of healthcare rather than clinical care, I’ve found purpose in helping bridge the gap between healthcare companies, providers, and patients through education, communication, and meaningful engagement.

I’m grateful to be in a position where I can continue learning, growing, and contributing to an industry that has such a direct impact on people’s lives.

Ten minutes with Aleiyah

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute much of my success to the example my parents set for me growing up. They worked incredibly hard to provide opportunities, support, and a strong foundation, and that has always motivated me to continue striving for more.

Their sacrifices and work ethic taught me the value of resilience, gratitude, and creating opportunities for the next generation. That perspective continues to drive me in both my personal life and career, and inspires me to build a life that reflects the same level of care, support, and dedication they gave to me

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received was to both help others and allow others to help you. I believe one of the greatest strengths women have is the ability to support, mentor, and uplift one another, especially in spaces where opportunities may not always come easily.

There is so much power in building genuine relationships and creating room for others at the table. When women support each other, we not only grow individually, but also help open doors for future generations to step into spaces that once felt out of reach.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

One piece of advice I would give to young women entering this industry is to never be afraid to reach out and build connections with people whose careers inspire you. Some of the most valuable opportunities, insights, and relationships come from simply being willing to start a conversation.

It can feel intimidating at first, but many people are more willing to offer guidance, mentorship, and support than you may expect. Building genuine relationships and learning from those who have already navigated the path you hope to pursue can provide invaluable perspective and open doors along the way.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in this field right now is how competitive it can be, especially in the areas I’m most interested in growing into. There are a lot of talented people pursuing similar paths, which can make it feel difficult at times to stand out or break into certain spaces.

At the same time, that level of competition also reflects how dynamic and in-demand the industry is. It pushes me to stay focused on continuous learning, build strong relationships, and be intentional about the opportunities I pursue so I can carve out a space that aligns with my strengths and interests.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

In my career, I place a strong emphasis on doing work that is thoughtful, compliant, and meaningful. I value collaboration and transparency, and I’ve found that the best results come from teams that communicate openly and support one another in solving complex challenges.

Just as important to me is the way I show up for others. I believe in building genuine relationships, offering help when I can, and staying open to learning from those around me. Mentorship and community have played a big role in my own growth, and I try to carry that forward by being intentional about how I support and encourage others.

On a personal level, gratitude and purpose guide a lot of my decisions. I think often about the importance of family, the opportunities I’ve been given, and the responsibility to continue growing in a way that reflects those foundations. That perspective keeps me grounded and motivates me to keep building a life and career that feel meaningful beyond just professional success.
