Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I really, really love what I do. I think that's the most important ingredient to be successful to love what you do. When you're passionate about your craft, it shows in everything you deliver to your clients.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

My father told me back in the 80s that America is the land of opportunities, and this is a country of big numbers a country for people that actually makes money. Money will get you ahead, but the most important things you need to cultivate in life are relationships. Those are the actual things that are gonna take you places in life. So, relationships are more important than money. That advice has stayed with me throughout my entire career.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Number one, never stop learning. You can never be an expert on anything because every day brings something new. I don't consider myself an expert even though I've been doing this for long enough - I'm a person who knows their craft but needs to keep on learning. Number two, especially for younger women, never allow yourself to be put in a box of being emotional because you are a woman. When women know what they're talking about and they're in a room with a bunch of men trying to explain something they don't know but you do, and you get passionate, you might be called a firecracker. But you're not a firecracker - you're trying to explain that what they're doing is wrong and will affect the business. You're trying to teach them. So never allow anyone to tell you that you're emotional just because you know what you're talking about.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The opportunities are many because everybody needs nowadays to have a properly set up brand for Google and for their audience. What I do is help businesses be found on Google with the most impeccable presence on the first page. There's a huge opportunity because I see agencies charging $5,000 a month for SEO while paying teams in Pakistan a couple hundred dollars and basically scamming clients. Teams outside the U.S. don't have the tools we have here, and Google's algorithm recognizes when somebody's accessing your profile from different countries, which affects your online presence. My opportunity is getting ahead with my boutique agency, showing clients I can work hand-by-hand and teach them how things actually work, giving them a whole high-value package adapted to their budget. The biggest challenge is explaining to some business owners the value of being found on Google. It can get technical with algorithms and earning authority, and some business owners see this as an expense rather than an investment. I usually don't get to work with people who consider marketing an expense because that says a lot about how they handle business. The challenge is explaining to business owners the importance of being found on Google by the people they want to sell to.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Transparency and honesty are the values most important to me in both my work and personal life. These principles guide everything I do.
