Ten minutes with Alejandra
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to not comparing myself with anybody and pushing myself forward every day. I focus on myself, try to be better every day, learn, ask questions, set little goals, make myself seen and heard, and speak up for myself. That has put me here.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I have ever received is that I have earned my seat at the table, and it is important to recognize that my voice and perspective matter. I have learned that it is not only acceptable but necessary to speak up, share ideas, and contribute with confidence.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to stay persistent and believe in their capabilities. You deserve to be in the room, and you should never be afraid to use your voice, share your ideas, and advocate for yourself. Confidence, resilience, and determination will help you create meaningful opportunities and succeed.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges and opportunities in my field is working with a diverse range of people. Collaborating with individuals who have different perspectives, experiences, and communication styles requires adaptability and understanding. At the same time, it creates opportunities to learn from others, build stronger relationships, and achieve better outcomes through collaboration.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are dedication, perseverance, and a strong work ethic.
