About Alena
Alena Maczko serves as Horizon Attraction Supervisor at an indoor amusement park in the amusement park industry. With seven years at the company and nearly five years on the operations leadership team, she manages regular operations, private VIP events, underprivileged youth programs, holiday events, and theming while prioritizing guest experience and hospitality. Her career began as her first on-the-books job, resulting in promotions approximately every year and a half. She specializes in hiring, onboarding, and training, leading a team of trainers who frequently advance into leadership roles. Alena holds a high school diploma and is pursuing a business administration degree with a minor in hospitality. Her credentials include IABCCS certification for supporting individuals on the autism spectrum, a food and safety handling license, HACCP license, and lifeguard and CPR licenses. She has earned Girl Scout silver and bronze awards for community projects such as a vegetable garden and a park built in Nicaragua, and she volunteers with the Northern New Jersey Community Foundation, Jersey Cares, Partnership for Maternal and Child Health for New Jersey, and community food banks.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Always trust in yourself and trust in your judgment. Every day's not going to be the easiest, but it's definitely a very rewarding field that you're going into, and you know, you get to make somebody's day every single day, and you get to make and help people create unforgettable memories that they'll cherish for a lifetime, especially with their families.
