About Aleta
I started my career in social work, completing 20 years at one agency and 5 years at another in various positions. During my first tenure, I helped implement and structure a program for teens in care because we were aware that the majority of them would not be returning home to their parents and would need life skills and life enrichment. At my second agency, my position allowed me to do something similar but with foster parents, not just the children, so we were able to implement a better relationship program with our foster parents which helped them deal with the processes of being a foster parent and having to manage daily life with someone other than their biological child. My main area of expertise is dealing with people as they go through what I call shifts in their lives - helping them navigate that based upon where they are and how they use their coping skills. The shift doesn't mean a bad shift, it could be a good shift, something that's positive in their life, not just negativity. It speaks to the authenticity and the resilience of an individual. On a daily basis, I invite people into a space where we speak positivity or put out things to help one another. I encourage us to gather in this space and share experiences so that others understand that they're not alone. I also attend to an individual with her personal physical needs and help her deal with what she's going through as an elder adult. Then I work with other clientele in the psychological process of acquiring personal growth, whether it be through financial growth, spiritual growth, or inner peace growth. I am also a professional realtor and work alongside non-profit organizations.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the work I had done at the agency with the youth and the impact that it had on their lives. Also, dealing with the staff that I worked with at the agency, who also took to my advice, provided inspiration and knowledgeable advice that encouraged me on. I also credit the strong family members who are women - it's what we do as women, I believe in my family. It's our strongest suit. Beyond that, my most notable achievement is the ability that I had to transition and come back from a hard place in my life. After losing my job, I came back stronger, more profound, more authentic, and pursuing a career that I think I was purposed for and had put on hold just to navigate according to how society viewed I should travel. So becoming an author, a speaker, an influencer is one of the greatest accomplishments I believe to this day.
