About Alexa
I've been in the hospitality and event planning industry for 12 years, and I'm currently the Chief Growth Officer and part owner at 00 Productions. My journey started right out of college when I was about 21 years old at my previous company, where I spent almost 11 years. I made a deliberate decision to hold every position in the company to truly master the industry - I worked through creative, operations, events, sales, regional sales, all the way up to national sales and leadership roles. This experience helped me create my own personal brand, which has a lot to do with relationships in the industry, my impact on others, my standards and follow-through with all of my client relationships. My main area of expertise is really client relationships - that's my focus as far as what I mentor others in, what has led me to being successful in my business, and the impact that I have on those relationships. I believe relationships matter and are everything in a lot of industries. As Chief Growth Officer, my main priorities are checking in on all things on the sales side of the organization - I'm here to grow the business. I sit in a lot of strategy meetings and calls on what that looks like, as well as meetings to see how we're servicing our clients, the standards we're setting with them, and the consistency in service they're seeing. I make sure the team is following through when they're servicing all the programs. One of my most rewarding achievements was being invited to speak at the Dale Carnegie national conference in Orlando in front of close to a thousand people about my mass communication skills and client relationships.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to great mentors, but honestly, growing up in a very small town in the Midwest, there was not a lot of opportunity, and we grew up not in a very fortunate lifestyle. At a very young age, I decided I wanted to do something different than what the small town offered, and worked very hard to make a name for myself so I could provide for my family in a different way. I've learned that consistency under pressure and follow-through are critical - no matter what situation you're in, as long as you follow through and see it through to the end, I've never had a situation not work out, as long as you just stay consistent to what you're doing and close the loop on it.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received is about consistency under pressure and follow-through. No matter what situation you're in, as long as you follow through and see it through to the end, I've never had a situation not work out, as long as you just stay consistent to what you're doing and close the loop on it.
