About Alexandra
Alexandra Clayton is an experienced business development and architectural sales professional who has been with High Concrete Group since 2019. As Business Development Manager, she educates and engages developers, construction managers, general contractors, architects, and engineers on architectural precast concrete products. She works across New York City to Washington, DC, supporting design intent for projects including hospitals, parking garages, data centers, and higher education through plant tours, consultative support, and AIA-accredited Lunch and Learns. She holds a Bachelor of Science with a minor in a foreign language and is active in professional memberships including CREW (Commercial Real Estate for Women), AMFP (American Medical Facility Practitioners), 7x24DC, and WIMCO (Women in Mission Critical Organization). Her career reflects a strong commitment to relationship building, industry education, and community service.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I think you hear a lot that you have a seat at the table, and I do try to lead with that. Life always starts at the end of your comfort zone. Coming into a field like this where it is a ratio of 1 woman to 20 men, never give up. Just keep charging forward, learn from mistakes. Everybody makes them, it only makes you stronger. Go in with confidence. Give up intimidation, give up the I don't belong here factor, the imposter syndrome. Don't give it real estate in your minds.
