What do you attribute your success to?
Not to sound conceited, but honestly, my personality, my smile, always keeping a smile on my face and being positive, no matter what happens, because obviously there are going to be ups and downs no matter what you do. But if you don't stay positive through it, that negativity can seep in and take over. I always stay true to myself, and I make sure that I stay scheduled and timely. I also have a good support system behind me to help me get through things if I'm unable to do them, and I have a good delegation system set up. Having such a great, big family with a huge support system behind me has been invaluable.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
To keep an open mind to everything. Don't give up too quickly, because it may be a rough start, but it will work out for you if you work the system. The system will work for you. You have to shift it to make it work for you, but also still use it, you know?
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my professional and personal life are honesty, integrity, and perseverance. I believe in being authentic and expect the same from others—there’s no need to put on a front. Staying true to who I am and maintaining my values, no matter the situation, is something I take great pride in.
I also believe strongly in resilience. Challenges are inevitable, but I refuse to let them keep me down. I stay determined and relentless in pursuing my goals, maintaining a positive outlook and continuing to move forward until I achieve what I set out to accomplish.
