Prior to her current role, Alexandra built extensive experience as a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist at Northwell Health and Wyckoff Heights Medical Center, where she specialized in vascular imaging and training newly hired technologists and ultrasound students. Earlier in her career, she held management roles in retail, overseeing multiple locations, staffing, budgeting, and payroll, demonstrating her versatility and leadership skills across industries.

Alexandra’s passion for healthcare was sparked by an early personal experience during her daughter’s ultrasound, which inspired her to explore diagnostic imaging. Balancing a full-time career with raising her children, she achieved her Master’s degree in Health Administration in 2021, a testament to her resilience and commitment to professional growth. Fluent in English and Russian, Alexandra continues to champion mentorship, training, and operational excellence in the healthcare field.

I attribute my success to perseverance and the unwavering support of my husband, whose encouragement has been instrumental in helping me achieve my goals.

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is that if you’re unhappy in your role, it’s better to take proactive steps to make a change rather than simply complain. Taking ownership of your career and seeking solutions is the key to growth and fulfillment.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would tell young women entering this industry not to give up. You may have to start at the bottom, but staying open, working hard, and being willing to learn at every stage will pave the way for long-term success.

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is finding employees who demonstrate a strong work ethic. At the same time, this challenge presents an opportunity to build a team culture that values dedication, accountability, and growth, which can set an organization apart.
