About Alexandra
My whole career has been raising money for students like me, ultimately, who are first-generation students and women and anybody. The underlying theme of my whole career has been this commitment to higher ed advancement and raising money for students. I've always worked in Texas public higher education with that fundraising background. I'm trying to get out of that mentality of your job is your identity, because your career is a part of you, but it doesn't define your worth. Recently, I've found that there's this need in sales and in fundraising for inclusivity for neurodivergent women, because neurodivergent women are really good at being extreme empathizers and connecting, but have them turn around and try and function like an Excel sheet is where the burnout is created.
