What do you attribute your success to?
I’d say my success comes from perseverance, purpose, and the people who’ve supported me. I’ve worked hard to stay focused on my goals, stay true to my values, and learn from mentors who’ve helped me grow. For me, success is about making a difference and lifting others along the way.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I’ve received is to always advocate for yourself while staying committed to learning. Early in my career, I realized that opportunities often come to those who are prepared and willing to speak up for their abilities. That mindset has effectively helped me navigate both legal and advocacy roles.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would say: be confident in your expertise, but never stop learning. Seek mentors, build your network, and don’t underestimate the value of persistence. In fields like law, public service, and advocacy, your voice matters—so use it to push for fairness and change.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
A significant challenge in law and advocacy is striking a balance between complex regulations and the human impact of decisions. However, this also creates an opportunity to make tangible differences, whether through policy, legal representation, or community advocacy. Technology and data are opening new ways to serve clients and communities more effectively, and I’m excited to be part of that evolution.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity, empathy, and empowerment. In my work, integrity ensures I represent clients and causes ethically, empathy allows me to understand the people I serve, and empowerment drives me to help others find their voice. In my personal life, these same values guide my relationships and how I contribute to my community.
