Her Story

About Alexandra

Alexandra Pedrazza is a people-first leader and leadership development entrepreneur with more than 20 years of management experience. She is the founder of Rung Leadership Development and serves as Senior Director of Service Delivery at SAP Concur, leading implementation teams supporting small and mid-sized business markets in Canada and EMEA. At SAP Concur, she has helped improve service delivery efficiency, reducing project hours by 38% and implementation timelines by 22%, while maintaining customer satisfaction scores above 95%.
Pedrazza founded Rung Leadership Development after observing that employees are frequently promoted into management without adequate preparation to lead people. Its First Rung program is designed to help first-level managers develop practical skills in areas such as delegation, trust-building, difficult conversations, team dynamics, and leading through change. Her leadership philosophy centers on helping others recognize their capabilities, build confidence, and grow into effective leaders. She also has experience developing employee recognition initiatives, inclusive hiring practices, and cross-functional employee engagement programs.
Pedrazza believes professional growth requires courage, openness to risk, and a willingness to learn from setbacks. Inspired by her mother’s strength and independence, she encourages women and emerging leaders not to wait until they feel perfectly prepared before pursuing opportunities. She balances her leadership career and entrepreneurial work with a strong commitment to family. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and exploring new places, using travel as a way to recharge and gain perspective.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Alexandra

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my motivation and sense of purpose to helping people recognize how capable they are. I find it especially rewarding to see someone realize they can achieve more than they initially believed. I don’t need to be in the spotlight myself; I’m driven by helping others grow, discover their potential, and step into opportunities where they can lead and succeed.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My mother was a strong, independent woman, and she taught me to have the courage to take risks. You don’t have to feel completely qualified or have every detail planned before taking the next step. Growth can be uncomfortable, but that discomfort often means you’re moving forward. Rather than being afraid of failure, I encourage women to see setbacks as opportunities to learn, adapt, and keep progressing.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I see a significant opportunity to better prepare people for their first leadership roles. Too often, employees are promoted because they excel as individual contributors, but they aren’t given the training and support needed to lead a team. Through Rung Leadership Development, I’m working to address that gap by helping new managers build practical leadership skills and confidence.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

My approach to leadership is grounded in respect, trust, collaboration, and investing in people. I value helping others develop and reach their potential. In my personal life, family is my top priority, and I make time for them while balancing my full-time leadership role and my business.
