What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a combination of discipline, adaptability, and a commitment to lifelong learning. My years in the U.S. Air Force instilled in me mission-driven leadership and resilience, and when I decided to pursue a new path, law school became a transformative experience that shaped both my career and my approach to life. Today, I practice family law as a Florida Supreme Court-certified mediator, hold a Master’s degree from Boston University, and co-own a business with my partner since 2020 dedicated to supporting veterans. Each of these experiences has reinforced my dedication to service, advocacy, and helping others navigate complex legal and personal challenges with integrity and care.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is simple but powerful: “You just have to beat the bear.” To me, this means facing challenges head-on, embracing obstacles as opportunities to grow, and persisting with courage and determination even when the path seems daunting. It’s a reminder that success comes not from avoiding difficulties, but from confronting them with resilience, focus, and confidence.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are family, connection, and balance. I deeply value the time I spend with my loved ones, and I find inspiration and peace in nature whether caring for my birds, enjoying the beach, or exploring the outdoors. These principles guide how I approach my work, emphasizing integrity, compassion, and respect in every interaction, while also reminding me to nurture the relationships and passions that bring meaning and fulfillment to my life.
