Her Story

About Alexandria

Alexandria Moran serves as an Account Executive at Parasac, where she specializes in business entity compliance. She has held this position for three years, managing client communications, onboarding new business, and fostering long-term relationships. Moran is also an MBA student at CSU Sacramento with a focus in global business and entrepreneurship, following her undergraduate studies in American Sign Language and Deaf Studies at the same university. Her career path includes a pivot after graduating college just before the pandemic, during which she worked at a mortgage company first as a receptionist and later in facilities management before joining Parasac through a staffing agency. In addition to her role at Parasac, Moran operates her own business, Moran Creative, selling locally sourced art, plants, and crafts in the Sacramento community. She volunteers annually with Stratford House food drives around Thanksgiving and attributes much of her professional growth to lessons learned from her community. Moran has also achieved recognition as a painter, placing fifth in the People's Artists competition.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Alexandria

01What do you attribute your success to?

Community has been central to my growth. I have learned and grown through lessons taught by schoolmates, teachers, mentors, family, and friends. All my personal, professional, and academic lessons come from my community.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

My finance professor advised that quality is brevity. The person who knows what they're talking about provides support or answers concisely and clearly without drawing it out. This observation has really stuck with me.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Learning how to listen is one of the strongest and most productive skills you can have in communication. Asking questions is key in that.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Mobility is a big challenge. I work for a company with great retention and employee ownership, but there's less upward mobility. In the broader market, job mobility is limited, making it hard for enthusiastic people in their late 20s to move into roles with more responsibility. My MBA program and its connections are helping me pursue that mobility.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Honesty is pivotal, being transparent and open to ensure all parties understand how everyone is working together. Respect and meeting people where they are at is key for productive conversations. Balance is also important, allowing space to be both a professional and a human while maintaining autonomy and selfhood.
