Her Interview
Ten minutes with Alexis
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the unwavering support of my peers and family. I am fortunate to have a strong circle of friends who encourage and support everything I pursue, even though we come from completely different professional backgrounds. Their perspectives, encouragement, and willingness to challenge and guide me have been invaluable. I believe that being open to support, accepting help when needed, and genuinely listening to the people around me have played an important role in my personal and professional growth.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to prioritize discipline and consistency in everything I do. I believe success requires the ability to stay motivated and committed to my goals, even when things do not go as planned or I experience setbacks. Maintaining discipline, following through on the goals I set for myself, and consistently putting in the effort are essential to achieving long-term professional growth and success.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
The advice I would give to young women entering my industry is to prioritize both their professional growth and their personal well-being. While it is important to be dedicated to your career and pursue your goals with determination, it is equally important to take care of yourself and recognize that your health, happiness, friends, and family matter. Maintaining a healthy work-life balance allows you to build a fulfilling career while still making time for the people and priorities that are important to you.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is learning how to effectively manage and structure my time. Balancing a career in sales and marketing with working remotely can require a high level of organization and self-discipline, particularly when entering a new professional environment. As a college student, college athlete, club member, and someone working multiple jobs, I have learned that creating a structured schedule and managing competing priorities are essential. Developing strong time-management skills and maintaining consistency have been key to balancing my responsibilities while continuing to grow professionally.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are balance, intentionality, and personal well-being. I believe in being intentional about how I spend my time and prioritizing activities and commitments that contribute to my personal and professional growth. At the same time, I make it a priority to nurture my relationships with family and friends, stay active through exercise, and take care of my mental and physical well-being. Maintaining balance and making time for the things that matter most allows me to remain focused, motivated, and fulfilled in every area of my life.
