Alexis Larreategui
Alexis Larreategui is a dedicated Environmental Science and Policy graduate student at Pace University with a strong focus on environmental justice, water quality, conservation, and sustainable systems. Her academic and professional pursuits are rooted in a commitment to advancing equitable, community-centered solutions to complex environmental challenges. With a multidisciplinary approach that bridges research, policy, and outreach, Alexis is passionate about helping communities build resilience and navigate the impacts of climate change through informed, data-driven strategies.
Currently, Alexis serves as a Climate Justice Intern with WE ACT for Environmental Justice, where she contributes to initiatives that advance equitable climate policy and support frontline communities. She also holds a Graduate Fellowship with the NYC Soil and Water Conservation District, where she supports projects related to green infrastructure, stormwater management, and climate resilience through research, data analysis, and written communications. Her prior experience includes roles in community outreach, policy analysis, and environmental education, where she has successfully engaged diverse populations, managed volunteer initiatives, and contributed to sustainability-focused programs across New York City.
Alexis brings a well-rounded skill set that includes public speaking, qualitative research, policy analysis, and sustainability reporting, complemented by experience in social media engagement and community outreach.
