Her Story

About Alexis

I’m driven by growth, creativity, and the opportunity to make a difference in people’s lives. As a financial coach and loan professional, I love helping others navigate challenges, gain confidence in their decisions, and achieve their goals. At the same time, I’m always seeking ways to grow myself, whether through professional development, volunteering, or creative pursuits like my artwork, which has been recognized in competitions, donated, and shared within my community.

Balancing full-time work, full-time motherhood, and an online college degree shaped me into a resilient, disciplined, and resourceful person. I approach life and work with authenticity, empathy, and a people-first mindset, and I believe the greatest impact comes from lifting others as you rise. Whether through finance, art, or community service, my goal is to create opportunities for growth, connection, and meaningful change.

Ten minutes with Alexis

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to faith, resilience, and the strength God gave me during those really pivotal moments in my life. Becoming a mother at a young age ignited a deep desire to want more for myself and for my daughter. With limited beginnings or guidance, I somehow still chose growth, accountability, and perseverance, which led me to build a life rooted in stability, purpose, and progress. I hope my journey encourages others to believe that circumstances do not define destiny and that, what they call “generational curses”. can be broken with {desire backed by faith -Napoleon Hill}!

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I received in my career was to remain teachable at every stage. My mentor once called it “not turning into a tree too soon,” because once your branches (or your mindset and habits) harden, it becomes difficult to grow in new directions. By staying open to feedback and willing to learn, I’ve been able to grow faster, lead more effectively, and embrace opportunities I never anticipated. In the end, when the time comes for your branches to settle, they do so stronger, wiser, and with a shape you can truly embrace!

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

The best career advice I can give is to never back down from your presence. I entered the finance industry at 22 years old, surrounded by professionals who were far more experienced and often decades older than me. Early on, I learned that confidence earns respect and that real growth happens when you’re willing to sit at tables that initially feel uncomfortable. By showing up fully, speaking with intention, and never being afraid to ask questions or seek guidance, I was able to open doors that self-doubt would have kept closed.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

I like to look at the glass half full, because every challenge carries an opportunity for opportunities! In my case, the challenge of finance (which can feel overwhelming or intimidating for so many) creates an opportunity to educate, to empower, and to strengthen my own skills along the way.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide me personally and professionally are integrity, authenticity, and service. I show up fully in my relationships, speaking honestly and leading with care, whether at home, at work, or in my community. I’m drawn to creating and enhancing positive environments and so I find purpose in helping others feel supported and empowered.

Challenges are part of life, but I’ve learned to face them with resilience and a forward-looking mindset, taking each experience as a lesson for what comes next. Having navigated my own obstacles, I also feel called to mentor and guide others, sharing insights that have worked for me while staying true to myself every step of the way.
