About Alexis

I started my journey in the tech field by fixing printers, laptops, and reselling them to companies. When AI became popular and trending, I saw the opportunity and decided to learn the industry, master it, and apply it. I've been in IT for the past 3 years and worked in sales IT as a lead generator for the past 2 years. I worked my way up to management in IT, and then they asked me to hop to the sales side of management and marketing. Being responsible for so many other people who just didn't want to work and were only there for the money, I realized I could take my own route and apply all the knowledge I had to a system I knew I could succeed in by myself. That's when I established A Plus Leads and built my AI agency from the ground up. The same thing I was doing for a company, I could do for my own company. Now I run an AI agency where I do AI calls, AI emails, websites, cold calls, and everything in that nature for businesses to get connected to other businesses and help their business grow. I mainly focus on plumbing, HVAC, and tree services - anything that's in need right now. I figure out the pain points within a business and charge them a fee based on what they can afford. I give them my service, my labor, not just a product.

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to having the right mindset and being willing to take action in the present to work on my future, not worrying about my past. When I stepped into sales, it was rocky at first, but I realized I can't come off as sales - I'm just here for a conversation, it's just communication. Once I got that down and started having conversations with people, the sales portion became easy. I also surrounded myself with people who educated me on so many different things in the technology world that helped me get to the next level. Always being a student to higher people really impacted me. And when I wanted change, I had to actually apply myself, and that's what I did. I took matters into my own hands and built my AI agency from the ground up.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

All gas, no brakes. I definitely recommend it for people that are interested, that just sit and think on it, but never really take that step. I would tell her, you know, listen, you only live once, life is short. You have to do something now and in the present to work on your future, and not worry about your past. It's not hard. You work at your own pace, and you are your own boss. You don't have to worry about someone judging you about how you look, or how you talk, or anything like that when they can't even see you. You're simply just making their business better. You're the middleman that no one sees, unless you really want to be seen. Some people are scared, some people are nervous, they're scared they just might get judged, and it might not be for them. But you gotta realize you have to come out your comfort zone to get where you want to be sometimes.
