Her Interview

Ten minutes with Alexis

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the coaches, mentors, and parents who pushed me beyond my comfort zone and challenged me to grow. Their guidance and encouragement taught me to embrace challenges, develop discipline, and continue moving forward even when I was uncomfortable.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have received is that I do not need permission to pursue what I want to accomplish. Especially as a woman entering finance, I have learned to take opportunities, trust myself, and confidently pursue the goals I have set for myself.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I encourage young women to find a genuine mentor and intentionally surround themselves with people who are already succeeding in the field. The right mentors can provide perspective, guidance, accountability, and insight that can significantly accelerate your development and success.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the challenges I have experienced is overcoming fear of failure and discomfort, particularly early in my career when I faced approximately $20,000 in debt from chargebacks. Those experiences taught me resilience and pushed me beyond my comfort zone. At the same time, I see a significant opportunity for women to become more confident and knowledgeable about financial strategies and to help other women understand approaches to wealth-building that have traditionally been associated with the ultra-wealthy.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity, respect, and honesty are essential to me. In financial services, I believe it is especially important to do what is right for clients, act with positive intentions, communicate clearly, and always be truthful. I want the people I work with to know that I genuinely have their best interests in mind.
