Her Story
About Aleyah
Aleyah Miller serves as Spa Manager at Studio 11:11 in Sebastian, Florida, bringing more than seven years of experience in the spa industry and nearly a decade of experience in hospitality. Her career has taken her through a diverse range of roles in retail, hotels, med spas, day spas, and brow and lash studios, giving her a well-rounded perspective on both guest experience and team leadership.
Aleyah earned her associate degree before going on to complete her bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management at the University of Central Florida. Her path into the spa industry began after a meaningful experience helping a customer feel beautiful and confident—an experience that inspired her to pursue a career centered around wellness, connection, and helping others feel their best.
Today, Aleyah credits much of her growth to the managers and mentors who have guided her throughout her career, as well as to Paige, the owner of Studio 11:11, for trusting her with the opportunity to lead and grow within the business. For Aleyah, leadership is ultimately about people. Whether she is working with guests or supporting her team, she strives to create an environment where people feel valued, confident, and empowered.
Her management style is centered around trust and autonomy. Rather than micromanaging, Aleyah believes in giving her team the space to do their jobs, stepping in when guidance or support is needed. She believes that mistakes are not failures, but opportunities to learn and become a stronger leader. Especially as a newer manager, she has learned that leadership rarely comes with a perfect formula and that navigating the “gray areas” is part of the process.
Aleyah’s advice to aspiring managers is to give themselves permission to learn along the way. Leadership comes with challenges, unexpected situations, and plenty of opportunities for growth—but each experience can help shape you into a better leader.
Looking ahead, Aleyah hopes to continue growing with Studio 11:11 and ultimately become a Spa Director. Her long-term goal is to build on her experience while continuing to create meaningful experiences for both guests and the teams she leads. At the heart of her work is a simple belief: when you help people feel good about themselves, you create an impact that extends far beyond the spa.

Ten minutes with Aleyah
01What do you attribute your success to?
It all boils down to advice I’ve received throughout my career: you’re going to learn as you go. Not everything is black and white—there are a lot of gray areas, and as you continue to grow within the industry, your position, and the companies you work for, you learn how to navigate those situations along the way.
That was honestly hard for me to accept at first because I’m the type of person who wants to know exactly how to handle every situation. But the reality is, you can’t always prepare for everything that’s going to happen. Every day is different, and sometimes you just have to trust yourself, make a decision, and deal with things in the moment.
Learning to be comfortable with that mindset has helped me grow tremendously as a manager. It taught me to be more adaptable, trust my judgment, and understand that not having all the answers doesn’t mean you’re not capable—it means you’re still learning and growing.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
I would definitely attribute my success to the people I’ve had the opportunity to work with throughout my career—especially my managers and, currently, Paige, the owner of Studio 11:11. She has trusted me with so much and given me the opportunity to grow in my role.
I’ve been fortunate to have great managers who have guided me through different situations and taught me things I may not have been able to learn on my own. I’ve been able to take those experiences, learn from them, and develop my own approach to leadership and management. I think a big part of my growth has come from being able to learn from others while also finding my own voice and perspective as a leader.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would definitely remind them that everything is a learning experience. If it’s your first time managing a business or stepping into a leadership role, you’re going to make mistakes—and that’s okay. We learn from our mistakes, and that’s one of the most important parts of growing as a leader.
I think a lot of us, myself included, can be really hard on ourselves when things don’t go as planned. But instead of looking at mistakes as failures, I’ve learned to see them as opportunities to grow. Every mistake teaches you something, helps shape your perspective, and ultimately guides you toward becoming the leader you’re meant to be.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
I would say every day brings a new challenge, whether it’s finding ways to make the guest experience the best it can possibly be or challenging myself to continue growing as a manager.
One of the biggest things I’ve learned is the importance of giving people the space and autonomy to do their jobs. I don’t believe in micromanaging. If something needs to be addressed or corrected, I’m going to step in and provide guidance, but I also want my team to feel trusted and empowered in their roles.
For me, every day is an opportunity to learn something new, improve my leadership skills, and continue becoming the best manager I can be.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
One of the things I value most is making others feel good about themselves. That’s something I carry with me both personally and professionally. I believe that when the people around you feel valued, supported, and happy, it creates a much more positive experience for everyone.
Whether it’s a guest, a team member, or someone in my personal life, I want people to feel good when they’re around me. Creating that kind of environment is really important to me, and it’s something I try to bring into everything I do.
