About Aleyah
Aleyah Moore is a multifaceted entrepreneur and service professional based in Waldorf, Maryland, with a passion for helping people, educating others, and caring for animals. She currently works as a pet sitter and certified dog trainer, providing care for animals ranging from household pets to larger animals such as horses, while also tutoring students in mathematics and English from third through twelfth grade. In August 2026, she expanded her professional portfolio into financial services as a Financial Services Professional with Primerica, where she focuses on helping families improve their financial practices and understand opportunities for building generational wealth.
Aleyah earned an Associate of Science in Liberal Arts and Sciences from the College of Southern Maryland in May 2025. Her diverse professional journey has been shaped by a strong interest in teaching, personal development, and entrepreneurship. Her early experiences helping younger students with homework and teaching dance contributed to her interest in education, while her love of animals eventually led her to pursue pet sitting and professional dog training. She also gained valuable customer service and sales experience through roles with Southern Area Aquatics and Recreation Complex and Vector Marketing, where she demonstrated adaptability, communication skills, determination, and leadership.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Aleyah is committed to personal growth, service, and making a positive difference in her community. Her background in competitive gymnastics, dance, and cheerleading helped develop her independence, discipline, and competitive spirit, qualities she now applies to her entrepreneurial ventures. She has also volunteered at community events, farms, and fundraising initiatives, reflecting her commitment to service and compassion. With a long-term dream of owning her own farm, Aleyah continues to build her skills across multiple fields while encouraging others—particularly young women—to remain confident, pursue their goals, and put in the work necessary to create the future they envision.

Ten minutes with Aleyah
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my background in competitive gymnastics, dance, and cheerleading, which taught me discipline, independence, and a strong competitive spirit. These experiences inspired my entrepreneurial drive, love of working independently, and passion for giving back by teaching and empowering others.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is that results come from consistent effort. If you want to achieve your goals and earn the success you desire, you have to be willing to put in the work and stay committed to the process.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to stay focused on your goals and not let outside opinions distract you. Be confident, take pride in your work, and pursue your path for yourself rather than seeking approval from others.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges of entrepreneurship is balancing multiple responsibilities while maintaining the consistency and energy needed to serve clients well. At the same time, my experience across education, animal care, and financial services gives me opportunities to build meaningful relationships and help individuals and families through continued education, financial literacy, and practical guidance.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity, compassion, responsibility, service, education, and empowerment guide me in both my professional and personal life. I value trust, respect, independence, family, lifelong learning, perseverance, and balance. To me, success is measured not only by professional or financial achievements, but by the positive impact I make on students, families, clients, and animals. I believe in continuing to learn, grow, show up, and never allowing others’ expectations to limit what I can become.
