About Alia

I am a biotechnology scientist specializing in cell therapy process development, biomanufacturing, and translational research.

Currently, I serve as a Senior Scientist at BioBridge Global, where I lead process development and manufacturing initiatives supporting the production of advanced cell therapies. My work focuses on cell culture systems, including 2D platforms and bioreactor technologies, process characterization, and technology transfer into cGMP manufacturing environments.

Previously, within the Advanced Therapies and GenCure teams at BioBridge Global, I managed projects from early process development through process performance qualification (PPQ) and validation, ensuring scalable, compliant, and efficient manufacturing workflows. I also develop and review technical documentation including protocols, batch records, and manufacturing reports to support GMP operations.

My academic research background includes work at The University of Texas at San Antonio and Washington State University, where I investigated tissue engineering approaches for osteoarthritis treatment, studying cellular responses to inflammation and exploring strategies to engineer articular cartilage using cell culture techniques.

I am passionate about bridging biomedical research and real-world therapeutic manufacturing, helping translate scientific innovation into safe, scalable, and impactful cell-based therapies.
