Alice Doyle

I began my real estate career in 1999 and spent 20 wonderful years in the industry before retiring in 2020. New construction was my passion, and I worked for Ryan Homes doing what I loved most. I was really good at sales and think I was awesome at it. When the housing market crashed in 2008 and nobody was buying houses, I made the difficult decision to transition into an administrative assistant role for a rep who had her own business. While I don't think I fulfilled my potential in that position and probably should have stayed in sales, the 9 to 5 schedule was exactly what I needed at that time in my life. My father was dying, we were getting our three kids through college, and my husband was working crazy hours, so I needed the flexibility to take care of everyone. I retired in the middle of COVID in 2020 when my mother-in-law was dying, and my husband made plenty of money, so I decided to focus on taking care of her. Then my son had a baby, and life has been really fabulous helping all these other people. Now my husband is retired too and doesn't want me to go back to work. I'm looking for ways to give back and help other women be successful, because I have all this great advice from doing it all - we took care of our parents while working, we raised children while working, and I feel like I have so much to share.
