Alice Murphy
Alice Murphy (She/Her) is a marketing professional and artist manager based in Los Angeles, currently serving as a Marketing Specialist at Framework, a house and techno event company. She also runs her own artist management and consulting practice, Alice W. Mgmt, where she helps artists grow their careers through strategic guidance in artist management, digital storytelling, and event marketing. Alice emphasizes honest, transparent relationships and building community around artists, translating creative passion into sustainable business models. She attributes her success to resilience and a growth mindset, navigating the fast-paced music industry with determination and adaptability. Alice began her career volunteering at WOW Hall in Eugene while studying at the University of Oregon, coordinating box office and artist outreach and producing livestream festivals that raised funds to keep the venue afloat during COVID. Since then, she has gained extensive experience across independent venues and large-scale event companies in Los Angeles, including Insomniac Events, and now at Framework, where she has helped launch a winter event series, re:frame, a temporary warehouse venue. Over seven years in the music industry—and six years in artist management—Alice has worked with a diverse roster of artists, from singer-songwriters to DJs, helping them grow their presence and connect meaningfully with audiences. Outside of her professional life, Alice is passionate about wellness, nature, and creativity. She enjoys yoga, hiking, and exploring botany. Whether developing artists, executing marketing campaigns, or building events that bring people together, Alice combines strategic insight, creativity, and community-focused values to make a lasting impact in the music industry and beyond.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to maintaining a growth mindset and resilience in the face of challenges. I believe that when one door closes, another opens, and I stay open to opportunities, learning from each experience along the way.

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Two guiding mantras she shares: "fake it till you make it" to build confidence and open doors; and "say yes to everything" early to gain experience—while also learning to decline opportunities that feel wrong or unsafe.

Overcoming the challenge of perceived authenticity and breaking through over-saturation.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that are most important to me, both professionally and personally, are transparency, honesty, and passion. I also deeply value collaborating with people who share these principles, as it fosters trust, alignment, and meaningful work.
