Alicia Maxie is a passionate fashion designer and founder of Maxie Couture, a Pawtucket, Rhode Island-based brand known for its custom women's ruffle scarves and unique special occasion designs. Since launching her business, Alicia has participated in multiple fashion shows and consistently brings her creative vision to life, translating ideas into wearable art. She combines attention to detail, tailoring expertise, and design innovation to craft pieces that resonate with her customers and stand out in the fashion community.
With a Bachelor of Science in Fashion Merchandising from the University of Rhode Island - College of Business, Alicia has honed her skills through years of hands-on experience, including roles in customer service at David’s Bridal and Carters Inc. Her professional journey reflects a dedication not only to design but also to delivering exceptional client experiences, from appointment scheduling and gown pressing to personalized consultations. This blend of creative and operational expertise has helped Alicia establish a trusted reputation in her field.
Beyond fashion, Alicia is a published poet with her first book, I Write for Christ, released in 2024, reflecting her commitment to faith and personal expression. My advice to young women entering this industry is to be dedicated and committed to your goals. Don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone in pursuit of your dreams. Whatever you desire, pursue it with confidence and perseverance.
