Alicia Morris

Alicia Morris serves as Area Manager for Growers Direct Farms, a company based in Summers, Connecticut. In this role for the past three years, she oversees operations at three locations in her area, which involves some travel, with the farthest site only 20 to 30 minutes from her residence. She is also employed per diem at a newly opened recovery house in Portland, Maine, where she fills in for three shifts per month. Previously, Morris spent 20 years in the medical field before experiencing burnout and taking a break from nursing. She maintains active credentials as a CRMA and Direct Support Professional along with an inactive CNA license. Currently a college student, she is working toward certification as a substance abuse counselor. Morris belongs to The Light Within group, which she joined when it started in Portland, Maine, and the Recover Together community in the Maine area. She volunteers to support the homeless in her community, drawing from her own past experience as a homeless drug addict. Her passion for plants inspired her transition into her current work with Growers Direct Farms.
