About Alina
Alina Lopez serves as Quality and Regulatory Manager at a personal care and cosmetic company. In this role for the past two years, she manages all quality and technical regulatory functions for the business and bears responsibility for the entire facility and organization. She handles the transfer of new products to the company to ensure successful market entry while maintaining full compliance with regulations to guarantee product safety for consumers. Having been transferred from Mexico into this international position, she leads a diverse team as her first such leadership experience.

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
When starting my international role after transferring from Mexico, my best friend advised me to remember who I am, why I am here, and why the company selected me over others. This helped me overcome fear and prove I was the best option for the job.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be clear on your goals, stay focused, work hard, trust the process, and trust in yourself even when it feels like you might not achieve it.
03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Prioritizing mental health and self-care is essential; take time for yourself and care for your own well-being first so you can then care for others.
