Her Interview
Ten minutes with Alisha
01What do you attribute your success to?
I contribute my success to my love for the city that I live in. I didn't start off in nonprofit. I actually started off in corporate America, but I always had a passion to serve the community. Success is actually doing my purpose, and walking in my purpose. Seeing the smiles on families' faces when they've accomplished their goals, helping them with their resources, giving them the encouragement that they need. Seeing a family succeed when they leave our program, for me, that is a success.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
What makes you happy? Don't think about the income, do what makes you happy, and then that will come. Walking your purpose.
