About Alisha
Alisha Prabhakar serves as Senior Financial Analyst at Solstice Advanced Materials, where her responsibilities include working with financial data, reporting and analysis, and FP&A-related tasks to align teams and support higher-level decision making for CFOs. She began her career in India building a foundation in financial analysis, accounting, and reporting, later pursuing a master's degree in finance at the University at Buffalo, SUNY. During her studies she gained experience through internships and roles, including as a finance intern at an NGO. She also completed a chartered accountancy course equivalent to a CPA in the US and holds certifications in W, SQL, and Power BI, which support her use of automation tools. Her professional journey reflects a commitment to continuous learning and applying financial insights to influence business decisions.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don't wait until you feel completely ready. You can grow into an opportunity. Don't be afraid. Do good work, make sure people know you're contributing, ask for opportunities and feedback, build relationships. Don't compare your timeline to someone else's. Everyone's career looks different and detours can lead to unexpected places.
