What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my passion for helping children grow, learn, and reach their full potential. I love working in special education, collaborating closely with families to support their children’s unique learning needs, and demonstrating to my students that anything is possible. Pursuing my master’s degree has reinforced my commitment to education, and I also stay actively involved in my community as a member of the city council. I thrive on staying busy, continually challenging myself, and making a positive impact both in and outside the classroom.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is that success is often about who you know. Building strong relationships, connecting with mentors, and cultivating a network of supportive colleagues can open doors, create opportunities, and provide guidance throughout your career.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are growth, balance, and dedication. I prioritize supporting and nurturing others whether it’s helping my students succeed or spending quality time with my children. I also value personal well-being and self-improvement, which I pursue through activities like working out, practicing hot yoga, cooking, and learning new recipes.
