Since joining AbbVie in 2012, she has supported the promotion and launch of numerous pharmaceutical products, while developing relationships with specialty and primary care physicians, pharmacists, healthcare professionals, and healthcare organizations. Her career has been distinguished by sustained sales performance, leadership, mentorship, and numerous company recognitions, including three Summit/President's Club achievements and multiple Rep of the Quarter and Regional Rep of the Quarter awards. Before joining AbbVie, Goldberg spent nearly five years with Randstad as a Senior Staffing Manager, developing new business, managing client relationships, recruiting talent, and overseeing teams of employees. She began her professional career with a marketing internship at Eaton Electrical. Goldberg earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Lander University, where she served as President and Recruiter for Zeta Tau Alpha. In addition to her pharmaceutical career, she has held leadership and mentorship roles within AbbVie, including serving as South Carolina Chair for Women Leaders in Action and participating in initiatives such as MAC's Finest and Women in Neuro. Goldberg is also the Founder and Owner of Luxe Itinerary Co., a travel-planning business focused on personalized itineraries and luxury travel experiences. She combines her organizational and relationship-building skills with her passion for travel and lifestyle content to develop the growing brand, with plans to expand into digital travel resources and other content. Outside of her professional work, she participates in community-focused initiatives with her family, including volunteering at the Ronald McDonald House and supporting Catholic school programs such as Blessing Box and Angel Tree initiatives. Her Interview

Ten minutes with Alison

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to hard work, consistency, strong organizational skills, and the mentors who have supported me throughout my career. I was inspired by family members who worked in pharmaceutical sales, and that early exposure helped shape my career path. Over the years, I have remained committed to learning, building strong relationships, and delivering results, which has contributed to my long-term success in pharmaceutical sales.

I have also applied those same organizational and relationship-building skills to building Luxe Itinerary Co. My ability to manage a demanding career while raising two school-age children and developing a growing travel-planning business has taught me the importance of staying organized, working efficiently, and continuing to pursue opportunities that align with my strengths and interests.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Some of the most valuable career advice I have received has come from mentors, including family members, cousins, and former partners who have influenced my pharmaceutical sales career. Their guidance and real-world experience taught me lessons that went beyond what I could learn from formal management or training programs.

Their mentorship reinforced for me the importance of building relationships, learning from the people around me, remaining open to opportunities, and continuing to develop professionally. My involvement with Women Leaders in Action, the MAC Advisory Board, and MAC's Finest has also given me opportunities to learn from and connect with other professionals.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would encourage young women to believe that they can build a fulfilling career, have a family, and pursue entrepreneurship. You can have a family, a successful career, and a business of your own as a woman. It requires hard work, organization, and commitment, but those different parts of your life can complement one another.

I would also encourage women to seek out mentors, build strong professional relationships, and remain open to opportunities that allow them to grow. My own career has benefited tremendously from the people who have invested their time and experience in me, and I believe mentorship and involvement in professional communities can make a meaningful difference.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of my biggest opportunities right now is continuing to grow both sides of my professional life: my pharmaceutical sales career and Luxe Itinerary Co. As a relatively new business owner, I am learning how to develop and expand a brand while continuing to perform at a high level in my primary career.

I see an opportunity to build Luxe Itinerary Co. beyond personalized itinerary planning by developing digital travel resources, including travel guides and coffee-table books. This gives me an opportunity to combine my professional experience, organizational strengths, and passion for travel while continuing to grow the business.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I value hard work, family, relationships, growth, and the ability to share my experiences with others. My career achievements are important to me, but so is being present for my family and continuing to develop the business I have built.

I also value involvement and giving back. My participation in professional organizations and leadership groups, as well as volunteering with my family at the Ronald McDonald House and participating in Catholic school giving programs, reflects the importance I place on community, service, and supporting others.
