Alison Norman

Alison is a seasoned cybersecurity professional and technology solutions specialist with more than three decades of experience in the technology and cybersecurity industry. Since the emergence of cybersecurity as a field in the 2000s, she has built a career helping organizations adopt technology solutions that strengthen security, improve business outcomes, support growth, and reduce risk. She currently serves as a Territory Account Manager at Optiv, focusing on cybersecurity solutions and partner relationship management. Throughout her career, Alison has developed expertise across AI security, cloud security, security analytics, application and network security, cyber risk, governance, compliance, DevSecOps, and security orchestration. She is particularly focused on the evolving role of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity, helping organizations implement AI solutions while establishing effective guardrails to manage emerging risks. Her previous roles at IBM, Oracle, Fireeye and Sonatype have further strengthened her experience in technology sales and customer-focused solutions. Beyond her professional work, Alison is committed to supporting the next generation of cybersecurity professionals. She served as a mentor with Girl Security, guiding high school and college-age students interested in cybersecurity and national security careers. As a mother of three daughters, she draws inspiration from her family and emphasizes passion, adaptability, and mindset as foundations for success. She also advocates for women in cybersecurity and is working toward writing a book and expanding her speaking engagements. She attributes balance to yoga. She’s pursuing her yoga teaching certificate.
