Alison Woods

I am an entrepreneur, IT executive, and children's book publisher with a diverse career spanning technology leadership, business strategy, and creative entrepreneurship. I am the CEO of Mirror Image Books, a self-employed role I have held since January 2018, where I publish children's books that feature African American children as the lead characters, creating stories that reflect and celebrate diversity and representation.

Prior to my publishing venture, I served as a Senior Consultant at RGC for two years, providing IT consulting services. Before that, I spent nearly eleven years at PepsiCo in progressively responsible roles, including Senior Director of Business Relationship Management, where I was responsible for Frito-Lay's Marketing and Trade Promotion Management Initiatives and the overall Project Management Office for Frito-Lay's Application Development portfolio, and as Director of IT Strategy and Planning, where I led IT strategy and planning initiatives.

Earlier in my career, I served as VP and CIO at The Philadelphia Coca-Cola Bottling Company for over seven years, where I was responsible for developing and implementing Information Technology solutions to enable business strategy. I also spent seventeen years at IBM as Branch Market Support Manager, where I developed my foundation in technology and business support.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Technology from Carleton College.

Across my career in technology leadership, business strategy, and entrepreneurship, my work has been driven by a commitment to innovation, representation, and creating value through both technology and storytelling. Whether I am leading IT strategy at a global corporation, publishing children's books that reflect diverse experiences, or consulting on technology initiatives, I bring strategic vision, a results-oriented mindset, and a dedication to making a positive impact in the business world and in the lives of children and families.
