Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my faith, hard work, and the relationships I’ve built throughout my journey. My faith in God keeps me grounded and guides my decisions. I have also maintained a strong work ethic, which I credit largely to my mother’s influence, and which has been consistent since my college years. In addition, I place great value on the professional relationships I’ve developed, as they have played a significant role in creating opportunities and supporting my growth.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I’ve ever received is that there’s no room for imposter syndrome when you’re actually putting in the work. In college athletics, which is a male-dominated field, women are often overlooked or undervalued. Because of that, it’s easy to start questioning whether you’re truly qualified. But that advice really stuck with me if you’re doing the work, showing up, and putting in the effort, then you’ve already earned your place. There’s no need to doubt yourself.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would remind young women that they are capable and that they belong in every space they enter, even when they may feel otherwise. Don’t allow imposter syndrome to limit your confidence or potential, because you are capable of achieving far more than you may realize. I would also encourage them to lead with excellence and integrity, understanding that the way they show up not only shapes their own opportunities but also helps create space for those who come after them.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field is compensation in athletics, where pay does not always reflect the level of work and there are still disparities between men and women. Another challenge is being overlooked or underestimated as a woman, as well as maintaining work-life balance in a demanding industry.

At the same time, there are strong opportunities for growth. The field is highly connected, and the skills gained are transferable across roles in sports, media, brands, and organizations. Building relationships is especially important, as they can open doors to new career paths and advancement.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Integrity is the most important value to me in both my work and personal life. I strive to live by strong principles and biblical values that guide how I treat others, how I carry myself, and how I make decisions each day. These values ground me personally, professionally, and spiritually, and influence every aspect of my life.
