Her Story

About Allie

I started working in the casino industry at 20 years old, which was surreal because I was on the gaming floor in a marketing role before I was even 21. Being immersed in the industry at such a young age while also pursuing my education gave me a hands-on foundation that you simply can’t replicate in a classroom. It allowed me to connect real-world experience with strategy and truly understand the business from the ground up.

Today, as a Regional Social Media Manager overseeing three properties, my role has expanded significantly. No two days look the same—and that’s exactly what I love about it. I lead the social and digital presence across all properties, managing everything from organic social strategy and web content to radio coordination, billboards, video production, photography, and editing. Balancing multiple brands requires both high-level strategy and attention to detail, ensuring each property maintains its unique voice while aligning with overall company goals.

The variety in my role constantly challenges me to think differently and adapt creatively depending on the campaign, audience, or property focus. What I find most special about my work is that I’m capturing moments and experiences that guests will talk about for years. We’re not just promoting events—we’re creating and preserving memories. Social media allows us to give people something to feel, something to relive, and something to share.

One of my most notable achievements has been growing our social platforms in a more meaningful and engaging way. When I first started, we struggled with truly showcasing the real guest experience. Since then, by leaning into authentic storytelling—through contests, behind-the-scenes content, live event coverage, and real guest interactions—we’ve grown our Instagram following by 5,000 to 7,000 new followers. More importantly, engagement and brand loyalty have strengthened across all three properties.

That growth has contributed not only to the success of the business but also to my own personal and professional development. Overseeing multiple properties has pushed me to lead with strategy, creativity, and confidence—continuing to evolve both as a marketer and as a leader in the industry.

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to drive and a genuine passion for what I do.

I’ve always been inspired by creating—whether that’s building a campaign, developing content, or bringing a brand vision to life. That creative spark, combined with a strong work ethic, has consistently pushed me to want more, learn more, and do better. I’ve never been content with just checking the box; I’ve always wanted to grow within the industry and truly understand it.

Being able to both work in the industry and earn my education in it has been incredibly impactful. It allowed me to connect theory with real-world experience—fitting all the puzzle pieces together in a way that made everything click. That combination of hands-on experience and formal education gave me confidence, clarity, and direction.

At the end of the day, it’s that internal drive—the passion to create, improve, and succeed—that keeps pushing me forward and continues to fuel my growth.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice that I ever received is, do what you love and always be yourself. Because when you do what you love, it doesn't feel like work.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don't be afraid to be yourself and be bold. I think a lot of people, especially in a marketing or casino or business industry, it can be intimidating, especially if there's not a woman of power in that field that you can look up to. But I believe that just being yourself and not being afraid of being yourself, as long as you have that at the end of the day, you'll be successful.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in social media and digital marketing right now is cutting through the noise. Everyone is creating content, algorithms are constantly changing, and attention spans are shorter than ever. In industries like casino and entertainment marketing, there are also added layers of compliance, brand standards, and reputation management, which means you have to be creative while still being strategic and responsible. That balance can be tough.

Another challenge—It can feel intimidating to pitch bold ideas or push for a different creative direction. But that’s also where the opportunity lies.

The biggest opportunity right now is authenticity. Audiences are craving real, behind-the-scenes, personality-driven content. Brands that aren’t afraid to show their voice, highlight their team, and step outside of overly polished marketing are the ones building real loyalty. Short-form video, community engagement, and storytelling are powerful tools—and they reward boldness.

For me, the opportunity is in leading with creativity and data together: using analytics to guide strategy, but not letting numbers silence originality. The brands that will win are the ones willing to be brave, human, and consistent.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Honesty, transparency, and creativity are the values that guide both my work and my personal life.

In social media and digital marketing, honesty and transparency are everything. Audiences are smart—they can tell when something isn’t genuine. I believe in being upfront in communication, setting clear expectations, and making decisions based on integrity, whether it’s with my team, leadership, or our guests. Trust is the foundation of any strong brand, and it starts internally.

Creativity is equally important to me. It’s what drives innovation, keeps content fresh, and allows brands to stand out in competitive industries like casino and entertainment marketing. I value thinking outside the box, bringing new ideas to the table, and not being afraid to try something different.

Personally, those same values carry over. I strive to be authentic in who I am, transparent in my relationships, and creative in how I approach challenges and growth. When your personal values align with your professional ones, it creates consistency—and that’s where real success and fulfillment come from.
