Her Story
About Allie
Allie Walley is building an inspiring career in collegiate athletics at Auburn University, where a lifelong love of sports and deep family tradition first sparked her professional path. Now in her third year in the field and her second year working with the Auburn men's basketball team, she operates as a true "jack of all trades," supporting coaches with scheduling, Daily operations, practice assistance, and a wide range of day-to-day personal and team needs. Before joining the basketball program, she gained additional experience within Auburn's athletics department, further deepening her connection to a university she dreamed of attending since childhood. Beyond athletics, Allie is pursuing a degree in Management with a minor in Entrepreneurship at Auburn University's Harbert College of Business, where she also serves as president of the Sigma Iota Epsilon managerial honor society. She is a certified personal trainer currently working toward a Sports Coaching Nutrition Certification, reflecting her broader interest in health, wellness, and performance. Her curiosity extends across the business and legal dimensions of sports, and she has explored these interests through prior experience in a legal office setting, sharpening the organizational and interpersonal skills she now applies daily in collegiate athletics. Outside of her academic and professional pursuits, Allie stays active through golf, pickleball, running, and weight training, and she counts the relationships she has built along the way among the most rewarding parts of her journey. Looking to the future, she hopes to pursue a law degree or graduate studies to continue growing within athletics and beyond. Above all, she considers her proudest accomplishment to be remaining grounded in her faith, crediting it as the foundation that has guided her through every step of her career.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Allie
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my faith in the Lord and to staying true to that faith throughout my journey.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I've received is to fake it till you make it. That mindset has given me the confidence to succeed in every part of my life. I've also learned the value of thinking before I speak, which is something I've worked hard to refine since the early stages of my career.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women to be confident and remember that faking it till you make it can carry you further than you'd expect. I'd also tell them to speak with intention, think before they respond, and seek out mentors who can guide and support them through every stage of their career.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is managing high-complexity tasks and the pressure that comes with them. At the same time, I see real opportunity in building strong networks and mentor relationships, which have been key to my own growth.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Faith, a strong work ethic, meaningful connections, and personal integrity are the values that matter most to me, both professionally and personally.
