About Allison
Allison Braunstein is a hospitality and guest experience professional with about three years of experience in the industry. She currently serves as Spa Experience Coordinator at the Fairmont, where she has progressed through several roles across multiple departments including spa services and guest interactions. Allison holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Arizona, which she completed in 2023. Her academic background has supported her approach to understanding and addressing diverse guest needs, particularly in high-end resort settings. Prior to her current role, she volunteered extensively with Emerge, a domestic violence shelter in Tucson, an experience that reinforced her commitment to treating others with empathy and care. Allison attributes her professional growth to a consistent focus on self-assessment, skill development, and building personal connections across the resort, emphasizing that success comes from how people feel when her name is mentioned rather than from accolades alone. She values making others happy by treating every interaction as she would with a close friend, even in brief encounters.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Allison
01What do you attribute your success to?
I would say it's just been kind of like a goal of like wanting to continue to grow. I'd say about every like year or so I kind of as well take a mental note where I'm like am I happy with where I'm at? Is there anything I think I can be doing more. What skills have I found that I love in this current position that I can go and harness somewhere else. It's not just about the accolades but really about how people feel when your name gets brought up in a room. I show face all across the resort everywhere so it's like everyone there knows me.
02What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
I really do enjoy just making people happy. One thing that I do tell my coworkers all the time too is that I treat everyone as if they're my friend. Because it's just like even if I only have 5 minutes to spend with someone I want to treat them the way that I would want someone to treat my best friend. And that's definitely been something that I really do live by and just making sure that I can treat everyone I can with the best care possible.
